Elbow Grease

Clever!

Here is Prianka Sisodiya‘s (a young designer) latest project, Elbow Grease. Prianka has created a series of kitchen utensils : as whip that can be dismounted and stored flat, a finger whip to beat the butter, and a bowl which can stand tilted to mix ingredients. Clever!

Watermelon and basil popsicles

Since I got a juicer, I’ve been testing some fruits, vegetables and herbs juices everyday…You can also make these delicious and refreshing popsicles with a mixer. It is easy as pie.
The Ingredients (for 6 popsicles)
– I used a little bit less than a quarter of a small watermelon
– 1/2 lemon
– a bunch of fresh basil
The Recipe
  1. Juice or mix the watermelon with basil.
  2. Add the lemon juice and shake vigorously. You can add a spoonful of sugar if you want to…although it is flavorful enough.
  3. Pour it into your popsicles moulds, and place it in your freezer!

Burata and green peas

I got my inspiration from this delicious meal I ate at Duck Soup

The Ingredients (for 2)
– 200g of fresh green peas
– 1 burata
– 3 heirloom tomatoes
– 1 organic orange
– 1 lemon
– olive oil
The Recipe
  1. Bake the green peas in boiling yater for about 10 minutes, they have to stay ferm. Put them in iced water then.
  2. Cut the tomatoes in cubes, place the burata on top entirely or in filaments, then the green peas.
  3. Add some orange zest on top, and make a vinaigrette with the lemon and orange juice and some olive oil. Add salt and pepper.
