Ramen Week

I’m back! The blog will finally be able to come back to life, I’ll have to dissect all my photos in order to share my favorite spots in Australia, but in the meantime you can rush to the restaurant Macéo in the 2nd district of Paris, which organizes the Ramen Week, where famous Japanese chefs share their best ramen recipes!
However arm yourself with patience (or get there reaaaally early), I tried to go today but there was a lot of queue and couldn’t get in at 12:30pm…The evening service reopens at 4pm and ends at 9pm, the menus are 10 euros for lunch and 25 euros with sushi (in limited quantities) in the evening.

Fungi

I have deserted the blog lately because I am on vacation, but here’s a novelty that I just discovered in Australia: grow your mushrooms kits! Just a little water and love can bring up a bunch of shiitake or oyster mushrooms, in these fascinating packaging.

They are several suppliers on the market: Fungi (those that offer the most various kinds), Back to the roots, and the idea has even flourished in France with Prêt à pousser

Merry Christmas!

Miss Ko

Sometimes, when a designer creates a space such as a restaurant, the taste goes out the window. This is not the case with Miss Ko: as propelled into a bustling street of Hong Kong, we find ourselves in the middle of a mural of zombies (drawn by David Rochline who also designed the plates), sinuous neons, roof of flamboyant umbrellas and table made of screens that never ends, a crazy dream imagined by Philippe Starck. In the kitchen, Executive Chef Fabrice Monot, Linda Rodriguez (Bond Street New York, Las Vegas Hachi ) and Martin Swift (Nobu London) propose revisited sushi (tataki smoked salmon, lobster and mango), leek gyoza and tempura shrimps. Special mention to the incredible beef tataki and its ginger puree served at will mention. The desserts are just as good, either the Himalayan Emperor (yuzu and white chocolate meringue dome), red fruit yuzu cheesecake, or even a simple fruit salad with mint and Szechuan berries.
