Here’s a recipe I invented the other day, inspired from Japanese cuisine. I love the fact that the salmon is almost rare inside, it gives a smooth and moist taste to the meal. You can serve it with rice or vegetables (asparagus, mangetout peas…) grilled with garlic or steamed cooked. As I cook with feeling, I can’t remember the exact amount of ingredients, so you better taste the sauce before pouring it on the salmon, to make sure it is at your taste!
My Ingredients (for 2)
– 2 salmon filets
– 6 tbs soya sauce
– 1 tbs honey
– 1 ts mustard or a little bit of wasabi
– 1 ts rice vinegar
– 1 tbs sesame oil
– white and black sesame grains
My Recipe
- In a bowl, mix all the ingredients together except the grains and salmon.
- Place the filets on aluminium paper which you will fold up on the sides.
- Pour the sauce onto them, and sprinkle with the sesame grains.
- Fold back the paper into an envelope, and if you want it rare, bake it for 10-20 minutes at 200℃ (T7 – 8)
