Probably one of the easiest cake recipe I know.
In French, it’s called the quatre-quarts (4/4). You can mesure the number of eggs you have, and you will then need the same amount of each ingredients (flour, sugar and butter).
The Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 120g sugar
- 120g flour
- 120g salted butter
- 2 pears or apples
- 1 big spoon of baking powder
- optionnal chocolate chips
The Recipe
- Mix the sugar and the eggs.
- Melt the butter and then add it slowly to the previous ingredients.
- Add slowly the flour while mixing.
- Add the baking powder and some salt if the butter is not salted.
- Cut the apples or pears in cubes without the skin.
- Put the paste into a cake mould (buttered if needed), then add the fruits on top. You can now also add some chocolate chips.
- Put the cake in the oven for about an hour at 180∘Celsius. Check with a knife to see if the cake is crispy on the outside and soft and mellow on the inside.
